Knowledge Center and SREP
In the beginning of a regulation at the European level, the SREP, the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process, i.e the development of guidelines for national supervisors or NCA (national competent authorities), does not affect our clients. It often takes years to reach final financial market regulations. On the other hand, the enormous variety of initiatives for legislation for a bank, insurance company or asset manager can hardly be met without external support. Here, with our knowledge, we help to identify the essentials for the respective business model.
How do we build our knowledge?
We participate in various consultation papers. The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EBA, or even at a global level with the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) before regulations will become effective. This helps us to be always one step ahead.
What is EBA, ESMA, EIOPA?
EBA stands for the European Banking Authority and is part of the European System of Financial Supervision (ESFS), which comprises three supervisory authorities:
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)
The European Banking Authority (EBA) and
The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).
It also includes the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB), the Joint Committee of European Supervisory Authorities (ESA) and national authorities.
CVA Services GmbH is not only a leader in the implementation of Credit Valuation Adjustments. We consult in all regulatory and accounting requirements for financial institutions or treasury of large non financial companies.
